The Lion Queen

First off, this is NOT a Lion King-ized Elsa (though I guess that's the style I used ). At least, that's not where the idea came from. 

Story: 

When I first heard that the Snow Queen would be named Elsa, my first thought was... Born Free?  Its the title of a movie telling the story of Elsa the Lioness, an orphaned cub adopted by Joy and George Anderson in the 1950s, and eventually set free in the Kenyan wilderness. The end credits roll with the song Born Free. Once you've heard it, you'll never forget that song... anyhoo, I saw this movie when I was pretty young, and probably would have forgotten about it too. Thing is, I have a Golden Retriever who happens to look a lot like a majestical lioness sometimes, so we call her Elsa (her real name is Nugget though haha). And then we sing Booorn Freee! 

So thus the story of Elsa, who was, for me at least, first a lion and then a Snow Queen.
